- Coat a fine paste prepared in the water of powders of Amla (Indian gooseberries), Bhringraj (false daisy). methidana (indian fenugreek) and Shikakai (soap pod) in an iron vessel. Leave for a few hours and then apply on hair and the scalp. Wear a scalp mask and leave overnight or for a few hours. You may take one, two or all ingredients in equal quantities.
For better result, wash hair with Reetha (Soapnut) water next morning. Soak 2-6 Soapnuts in water and rub the soapnuts. Discard the pulp & seeds. Wash the hair with this liquid just like a shampoo.
- Mix curd & lemon juice (a few drops) and multani mitti (optional) to make a thick paste. Apply for 10 to 20 minutes on the hair and scalp. This will make the hair very soft and silky and will remove dandruff also. This can be applied 2-3 times a week. To prevent the smell of curd, white sandal (chandan) powder can also be added. Add lemon juice only when dandruff is present.
- Add half to 2 tsp of onion juice in mustard oil. Gently massage the scalp with this combination for 10 minutes. This will prevent hair fall.
- Boil coconut oil or mustard oil (250 ml). When the first boil comes, add henna leaves (about 15- 20 gm) and neem leaves (30 green leaves washed and dried) in the oil and boil for 10 minutes on low flame. Stain the oil and store in a glass vessel. Apply this hair oil preferably on alternative days, either one hour before hair wash or it can be left overnight. This hair fall is excellent for daily use to prevent hair fall, dandruff, lice, itching on the scalp and premature greying of hair.
