Ayurveda is the Science of Life.  Ayurveda is a theoretical, practical and clinical holistic medical science and is believed to be the oldest holistic healing system belonging to vedic era.  Ayurveda, mentioned in Sanskrit, is considered to be subsidiary (Upveda) of all the four Veda (mainly the fouth Veda – Atharvaveda). The enriched knowledge of Ayurveda teaches us to live a long healthy life, to maintain good health, treatment of diseases and also, the nature and purpose of human life. The purpose of life is to know about the source of human creation and existence, knowing the supreme reality and living that consciousness in routine life, The ultimate purpose of human birth and death cycle is enlightenment.

Ayurveda clearly mentions the concept of prolonged healthy life. The basic principle of health mentioned in Ayurveda is a balance between body, mind & spirit and a delicate balance between three bioelements (Vata, Pitta & Kapha) made up of five elements ( Ether, Air, Water, Earth & Fire). These are maintained through diet, herbal medicines & Panchkarma therapies, correct lifestyle, Yoga and achieving the right perspective towards everything and everybeing.
